May 10th, 2017

I'm doing good! We have zone conferences every transfer and They'll be this next week. I'll be teaching about how to better use the Book of Mormon! This Friday I have a baptism! At 6!! I'm trying to end with 8 more baptisms ! I'm really excited for how things are going to end! That sucks about your room .... It's going to take some time to get used to the change. 

I played basketball with President today, in the morning.  He can play ...!  It was a lot of fun and I'm super tired. Elder Diaz and I are really good together. He is insane ... with scriptures.  He is a missionary that understands the gospel.  He has taught me a lot. He's literally a walking library haha. I love him. Him and I are best friends. We are still working hard! Its hard to think that I only have 5 more weeks left... I can't believe the time is running out ... But that's how long the Lord needs me here for.  

I'm sorry for not writing very much I just don't know what to say... I bore my testimony last Sunday and It was really powerful.  I spoke about God's Love and how I know He loves me and that He loves you! Everything we have and everything that has happened is because of God's love. God loves us that He gave His perfect son as a sacrifice for us. I really like this scripture D&C 41:16-19.

Hey, today was changes and I now only have 6 more weeks here ...... I can't believe it to tell you the truth. Two years gone like that .... I'm so happy to be here and I know that the work doesn't end! It never does. I like a scripture in Matthew 11:28-29. It helps me know that the only way that I will find peace and comfort in all this continual work that never ends, is Christ! I'm still can't believe it...

Hey so I play basketball every P-day ! It gets me so tired. I love it but hate that I'm out of shape... 

We're able to meet and and make friends with a lot of people 'cause we play ball. 

I do divisions with Zone leaders twice a week. I had three baptisms this last week. One family and a man. Their names are Pedro and Valentina, and the other guy's name is Edmundo! 

We continue to work and work and work. 

One of my favorite lesson I had this last week was we were teaching a girl that didn't believe in God and she started asking us, Who is God ? Who made him? Where does He live?  And lots more but we got to the point where we focused on Jesus Christ and then the Spirit showed us everything. At that moment we knew she had some bad things happen to her over and over and she would pray that they would stop but they wouldn't.  So she began to believe that God doesn't answer prayers and that she was so angry with God that she didn't want Him to be part of her life.  Well in that moment, I did not speak these words, they came from my mouth but not from me, GOD LOVES YOU AND HE WANTS TO ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS. The room was silent and she began to cry and then left the room.  She finally came back and We left her with a Book of Mormon and told her to pray and testified that He will answer her prayer. 

I'm doing good ! My body doesn't work like it used too haha but my spirit has never been in better shape. This next month we will have more baptisms and are excited for new things to come!

 So this last week was alright. It was good ! I had two baptisms and I'm really excited because one of them can be a future missionary !! Two people Mother and son. They both have a strong testimony and they are definitely chosen people that are prepared ! There names are Alayda and Angel!

I am doing good.  I'm going to play basketball again today and I'm trying to get back in shape. I weigh 170 ... Its so sad ..  I lost a lot of weight and I can't gain it back !

I'm running out of thing to say ... Please ask me question so I can respond and by doing so will help me write more !  

 

He's (Elder Diaz) going to be my companion till I leave Nicaragua! (Sam's cousin who is going to Ben's mission and is in the MTC right now learning Spanish, small world) He will spend the night in my house for two days and I'll get to capacitate (train) him !!

I cook ramen and cereal and rice beans and pasta haha. Yeah there's a new batch of office elders and there's 4.

Hey family !! 

Today i played basketball for like 4 hours. It felt so good! I still can play but i'm rusty ! Diaz and i play really well together.  He's an animal with three and killer with the crossover.  I'm so tired tho...but felt so good to play. We did an activity and invited non members and less active members to play with us and the leaders and got three new investigators out of it ! 

This last week everyone has been telling me and reminding me how much time i have left ... it sucks.  I don't like to think about that . Just cause i'm not ready to think about home or any of that stuff .. I'm not done yet !

I'm not going to lie but my body has been getting more and more tired .. that's a big struggle for me right now. I fell asleep in a lesson the other day haha.  Time just keeps on passing by faster and faster. This week we are looking at 4 baptisms:

Aleida

Angel 

Ruben 

Maria 

Aleida and Angel are mother and son and angel is 16 years old. 

Ruben is a man from Bluefields that is 76 years old. 

Maria is a mom and wife of a family that we have already baptized! 

Pray for them! 

We work and work and work. 

This week we are working on the mission and transfers with President but we're still going to be in our area. 

How is getting to know Jesus Christ? 

Learned anything new? 

I got a new haircut , and its shorter now! 

   

April 3, 2017 Happy Birthday!

Here are some pictures from Ben's birthday on Saturday.  He didn't send any messages about who they were, but they all look happy, especially my boy.  Looks like he got a cake to go with his day!

April 2, 2017 week 90

Here are some notes we have gotten from Ben.  He doesn't really write letters any more, but sends notes every now and then.

We had 11 baptisms this week and Finished with 12 for the month !! We didn't complete our goals but we saw a lot of miracles this last week !!!
